SVG Green Party is very concerned about the mud and filth the ULP regime is exposing the public to. There are two main points:

1. The recent heavy floods of mud and filth in to the streets of Kingstown on Wednesday 20th December, 2006, have been left on the roads and footpaths posing a serious health and safety risk to the public and environmental health workers. Many people have approached the Leader of the SVG Green Party to voice their disgust about the fact the streets had not been hygienically cleared. Many visiting Vincentians who usually reside abroad, told Ivan O'Neal that they thought the ULP regime was not serious about tourism.

2. The same floods that occurred on Wednesday 20th December, 2006, have caused substantial damage to the river defence at the Arnos Vale playing field. The Minister of Tourism indicated on the SVGTV news on the same date, that this is the second time that parts of the river defence have been washed away. SVG Green Party is concerned about the incompetence of the ULP regime in managing the affairs of our country.

Conclusion

The ULP regime is showing contempt to the people of and visitors to this country by leaving the mud and filth there for people to walk through. Any responsible government would have washed away the mud and filth.
