Formal request to Christian Council to publicly denounce Ralph Gonsalves’ breach of the SVG 1979 Constitution

Head of the Spiritual Baptist Church Head of the Salvation Army Church
Dear Members of the Christian Body,
We are very concerned that Ralph Gonsalves is in serious breach of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 1979 Constitution, in that, he as discriminated against the SVG Green Party, by not giving the SVG Green Party the same duty-free concessions for motor vehicles and other election equipment, as has been given to his party, the Unity Labour Party, and the New Democratic Party. He is choking democracy in SVG.
Also, in the 2010 SVG general election, three members of the Teachers Union ran as candidates for the NDP. They did not win their constituency and Ralph Gonsalves did not give the teachers their jobs back. Yet, in the present 2015 SVG general election, Ralph Gonsalves’ daughter - who is a public servant - is very active with a political advert on SVG BC television news criticising political parties other than the ULP, but she retains her job as a public servant. This is a very serious wrongdoing.
We write to request that the Christian Council publicly denounce the actions of Ralph Gonsalves, in not giving the SVG Green Party the same duty-free concessions and allowing his daughter to retain her public servant job whilst being politically active in the 2015 general election.
By not publicly denouncing Ralph Gonsalves’ breach of the SVG Constitution, the Christian Council will be giving legitimacy to Ralph Gonsalves’ serious wrongdoings.
We look forward to an early and positive reply.
